VBeyond Corporation is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Level II for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extensions)
Summary
As a Phase II PACU RN you’ll guide patients safely through the immediate post-anesthesia recovery period, focusing on pain control, hemodynamic stability, education, and timely discharge or transfer. This autonomous travel role calls for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can collaborate smoothly with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Continuously evaluate airway, vitals, pain, and neuro status of post-operative patients transitioning to Phase II recovery.
Administer medications, manage IV lines, and respond to changes in patient condition.
Provide age-appropriate teaching on post-op care, medications, and follow-up instructions prior to discharge.
Maintain accurate electronic health records and hand-off reports.
Coordinate with OR, anesthesia, and inpatient staff to ensure seamless patient flow and quality outcomes.
Qualifications
2+ years recent Phase I or Phase II PACU nursing (travel experience preferred).
Active, unencumbered RN license valid in Georgia or Compact state.
Certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Scale
Proficiency with PACU monitoring equipment, rapid assessment, post-op pain management, and discharge teaching.
