Location: Silicon Valley, CA

Salary: $80k–$85k

An upscale casual Italian restaurant in Silicon Valley is seeking a Sous Chef to help lead their culinary team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years in a Sous Chef or BOH leadership role in high-volume($4M) or upscale casual restaurants
• Strong cooking technique, plating standards, and commitment to food quality
• Ability to lead, coach, and manage a team of 20+ kitchen staff
• Familiarity with Italian cuisine preferred; ability to learn and pronounce Italian terms required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Non-Negotiables:

• Oversee food prep, line execution, cleanliness, and adherence to 5-star service and food safety standards
• Manage daily BOH operations including scheduling, staffing, and labor cost monitoring
• Conduct interviews, complete new hire onboarding, lead performance reviews, and provide disciplinary feedback as needed
• Place accurate weekly orders, manage inventory, and minimize spoilage
• Uphold compliance with safety, sanitation, and internal SOPs
• Work all shifts (AM/PM/weekends) as needed to support business operations
