Job Description

The right candidate will have a strong tax accounting background and is seeking a full-time senior tax manager position. The role involves managing the company’s tax matters, including U.S. and international tax planning, tax compliance, tax accounting, and operational tax issues. Responsibilities include managing third-party consultants, leading individual contributors, and collaborating with the client’s tax and management teams.

Qualifications

• Oversee the preparation of domestic and international tax compliance filings, as prepared by external tax firms or local third-party professionals.
• Manage operational tax compliance, including transfer pricing arrangements, VAT filings, and property tax.
• Assist senior management in developing and implementing tax strategies, and develop relationships with third-party consultants globally.
• Manage all aspects of tax accounting, including review and preparation of tax provisions, reconciliations, technical research, and disclosures.
• Act as the primary liaison with independent reviewers on tax matters.
• Oversee internal controls and policies related to tax to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Increase corporate awareness of tax risks and compliance through education and review of key activities and agreements.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, GAAP, and related rulings affecting the company’s tax strategy and compliance.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for domestic and international tax expenses.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Leadership Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate and international tax.
• Energetic, flexible team player capable of managing in a dynamic environment.
• High attention to detail, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate effectively with non-financial managers and all levels of personnel.
