Eisterhold Associates, Inc. specializes in the planning and design of interpretive exhibitions, with a focus on museums and cultural institutions. Our projects include the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, Rosa Parks Museum, Jurassic Park Discovery Center at Universal's Islands of Adventure, the National Museum of the US Army, and the National Museum of the Marines to name a few.

We are a national, collaborative, interdisciplinary, creative team made up of industrial designers, graphic designers, architects, researchers, content developers, programmers, planners, and thinkers who strive to create unforgettable experiences—to transform, not simply educate. About the Position

This is a Full Time position located in our studio, requiring in office work at least 4 days per week. We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion to communicate via graphic and interaction design, who will thrive in an interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be disciplined, self-motivated, and possess a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional conceptual thinking and problem solving. Project management skills are highly desirable.

The position requires adaptability, a desire to grow and a diverse skill set ranging from large scale environmental graphics to interactive multimedia, branding and marketing materials. Graphics express content-rich narratives, requiring strong attention to detail and management of large, complex bodies of information.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working collaboratively with a team and the guidance of the creative director
  • Visual storytelling, ideation and sketching, data visualization, and the ability to communicate to clients at all stages of development, and ultimately, to diverse audiences.
  • Helping to guide the user experience for immersive environments incorporating large scale environmental graphics and interactive media.
  • Production of pixel-perfect graphics to be provided for the media producers and programmers.
  • Creating production files and documents, supporting documentation, and monitoring quality and design intent through the fabrication process
  • Travel is sometimes required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong conceptual thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills. Strong visual design/layout/typography skills
  • BA/BS/BFA or higher degree in Graphic Design, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years professional experience
  • Understanding of User Interaction design principles and platforms
  • Ability to document and present interim work products to client and team members.
  • Mastery of graphic design software a must – Including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience in media production a plus.
  • Ability to carry forward and further develop creative concepts developed by others and the willingness to follow direction and feedback.
  • Excellent time management and team interaction skills with a proven ability to meet budgets and deadlines. Experience coordinating with other graphic designers.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a deadline-driven, and highly iterative environment.
  • A comprehensive approach to design that embraces content, concept, and attention to detail.
