Overview: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Physician Assistant to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an outpatient practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patients in a GYN and OB clinic, ensuring high-quality care and support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Manage patients in both gynecological and obstetric clinics, handling GYN-related complaints, and conducting prenatal and postpartum visits. Perform physical examinations, including GYN exams, and diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, ultrasounds). Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribing medications per written agreements. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose conditions, and counsel patients on treatment options. Document patient encounters accurately, including history, assessments, and follow-up plans. Coordinate referrals for complex cases and report abnormal findings to physician colleagues. Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to departmental initiatives. Qualifications: Master’s degree accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA certification and Maryland PA license. 2+ years of experience in obstetrics or gynecology preferred. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.
