Change Craft is growing quickly with a current roster of clients including some of Californias leading public health and advocacy organizations.The JobThe Marketing & Operations Manager is a hybrid role that supports the strategic and day-to-day functions of our growing team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategy with dotted-line support to senior leadership across creative, research, content, insights, and organizational leadership, this role is designed for a highly organized, versatile professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.This position blends marketing execution, account and project management, office operations, and research support. The ideal candidate will help drive campaigns forward, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, maintain internal systems and processes, support social media and experiential initiatives, and ensure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Youll be a connector across departments, helping us stay aligned, efficient, and on track so that we can make a collective impact for our clients.Experience in an advertising or public relations agency will be highly valuable for this role, particularly with prior experience in a role focused on client services, project management, or experiential marketing. Given our client assignments, a candidate who is fluent in both English and Spanish is preferred. Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Manage and maintain projects in the internal project management system, including regular updates to timelines and status.Generate reports, exports, and dashboards from the project management system for internal and external stakeholders.Lead internal project update meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables remain on schedule and aligned.Track project scope, approvals, and documentation to ensure seamless coordination across departments.Operations Management:Serve as office manager for our Sacramento office, including coordination of client visits, supplies, equipment, and building management.Track and process vendor invoices, team expenses, and other administrative documentation.Coordinate team calendar management, scheduling, and logistics for internal and external meetings.Support onboarding for new staff, freelancers, and partners by managing access, documentation, and setup.Manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, publishers, and service providers across media, research, and technology platforms.Digital & Social Media Management:Independently manage multiple social media accounts for the agency and select clients.Create and post engaging content aligned with campaign goals and brand strategy.Design social media graphics using Canva or other tools, and organize content into editorial calendars for review and approval.Monitor online engagement and participate in community interaction to build digital presence.Capture content using iPhone or video equipment at events, meetings, and shoots.Work closely with the creative team to ensure digital content aligns with visual identity and messaging.Events, Influencers, and Community Engagement:Vet and recruit influencers, ensuring alignment with brand and campaign goals; negotiate partnership terms.Lead planning and logistics for events, activations, and community engagement efforts.Manage grassroots or fundraising initiatives tied to client campaigns or causes.Recruit, coordinate, and maintain relationships with CBOs, advocates, and stakeholders to support outreach efforts.Support large-scale convenings and summits through planning, communications, and on-site logistics.Research & Insights:Assist the research team with planning, recruitment, and data collection for qualitative and quantitative projects.Conduct desk research to support campaign development, proposals, or strategic briefs.Support literature reviews, environmental scans, and secondary research activities.Manage scheduling, outreach, and logistics for interviews, focus groups, or stakeholder sessions.Document and synthesize insights through detailed note-taking and summary writing.Performance Analysis and Reporting:Generate insightful performance reports to guide content optimization and future creative strategy.Present campaign results and marketing recommendations to clients and internal leadership.Stay up to date with industry trends, cultural moments, and competitor strategies.Create monthly trend reports for internal learning and strategic refinement across teams.Public Relations, Business Development & Strategic Communications:Partner with PR team to help develop and distribute press materials and support media outreach.Draft statements, announcements, and quotes for clients.Assist with event logistics at PR functions and client-facing activations.Support business development through proposal writing, strategy contributions, and pitch participation.Plan and host client and partner mixers at Change Craft headquarters to foster engagement and growth.Other Duties As Assigned:Be a collaborative team member willing to take on additional tasks to support client success and company goals within the scope of the role.Required QualificationsFluent in English and Spanish for professional work. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in a marketing, communications, social media, or similar role.Strong understanding of marketing principles and multi-channel campaign management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing analytics tools.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Proven track record of success in client services, strategy development, PR, and business development.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides).Ability to work from an office up to 5 days a week. Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a PR or advertising agency.Familiarity with project management tools and software.Familiarity with public health, government, political, or nonprofit sectors. Network of industry contacts or relationships in media is a plus.Proactive and collaborative mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.Experience working with Zoom, Slack and other communications tools. Experience working with Mac OS devices.Experience with events, community engagement or experiential marketing. Professional work experience or lived experience working on communications campaigns or local engagement efforts with one or more communities served by our clients public health campaigns such as LGBTQ+, parents and children, Black/African American, Latino, Native American, Asian Pacific Islander American, or other historically marginalized community prioritized by California public health outreach.
