Job Summary

The Mail Clerk is responsible for receiving packages and delivering them to local mail stops within the site. This role requires walking between multiple buildings and managing delivery to mail stops that may be up a flight of stairs. The position demands strong time management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers regarding package delivery status. This is a temporary Leave of Absence (LOA) coverage position with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receive and sort incoming packages.
2. Deliver packages to designated mail stops within walking distance, including stairs.
3. Communicate with customers via Teams or email about delivery timing and location.
4. Manage delivery responsibilities independently, often as a single-person site.
5. Handle occasional lifting and carrying of boxes weighing less than 50 pounds.
6. Walk between multiple buildings to complete deliveries.
7. Utilize basic computer skills for communication and tracking.
8. Maintain punctuality and reliability to ensure timely deliveries.

R equired Qualifications

1. Ability to walk and climb stairs repeatedly throughout the workday.
2. Comfortable carrying packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
3. Good communication skills, including comfort using Teams and email.
4. Strong time management and ability to work independently.
5. Basic computer literacy.
