Job Description

Executive Housekeeper – Overview Join MCR Hotels as an Executive Housekeeper at the Hilton Garden Inn, Downtown Cleveland, OH. This role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest friendliness across the hotel and its facilities. You will lead a housekeeping team, ensure consistency in service, and provide exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the housekeeping team, including daily stand‑ups, shift scheduling, and quality checks. Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, storage rooms, and house laundry meet MCR’s cleanliness and safety standards. Manage status reports, nightly room status solutions, and PMS updates to maintain accurate room availability. Maintain organization of storage rooms, housekeeping closets, and the main laundry room. Coordinate maintenance requests with Engineering and ensure timely resolution. Order and track housekeeping and laundry supplies; conduct monthly inventories. Monitor chemical usage and comply with OSHA hazardous‑chemical safety standards. Supervise cleaning, inspection, and return of keys and housekeeping boards. Provide daily objective completion and manage room cleaning reports. Deliver exceptional guest service, greeting guests by name, handling guest situations with hospitality and urgency. Assist with event support and hotel feature knowledge to aid guests and staff. Ensure uniform, grooming, and nametag standards are met by all team members. Support teamwork, communication, and collaboration across all levels. Qualifications & Requirements Preferred experience in hospitality, service, or consumer‑facing franchise; supervisory experience a plus. Strong customer‑service focus and excellent communication skills. Ability to handle high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments with a positive, can‑do attitude. Effective conflict resolution, listening, and teamwork abilities. Must be at least 18 years old; willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Required to clock in/out on time and adhere to scheduled shift changes. Willingness to travel for training or short assignments as required. Physical Demands & Working Environment Stand or remain stationary for 3‑4 hours at a time. Operate computers and perform 10‑key data entry and telephone duties. Lift, stoop, crouch, and transport supplies up to 25 lbs. Inspect detail at close range; frequent walking throughout hotel.
