AppalCART is Watauga County's Public Transportation Authority, committed to keeping the High Country moving since 1981. Initially starting as Appalachian Campus Area Rapid Transit in 1980, AppalCART became the official and first bus transit system for Boone, North Carolina in 1981. Our primary focus is to provide safe, reliable, and courteous service to our passengers. Role Description This is a part-time up to a full-time on-site role for a Transit Bus Driver located in Boone, NC. The Transit Bus Driver will be responsible for operating transit buses on established routes and schedules, ensuring the safety of passengers, adhering to traffic laws, and providing excellent customer service. The role involves performing routine vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance needs, assisting passengers as needed, and maintaining accurate logs and records of trips. Paid training to earn a Commercial Drivers License.
