We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Responsibilities:
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including wire transfers, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable.
• Support the preparation of the quarterly National Credit Union Association (NCUA) Call Report.
• Manage branch currency procurement and oversee branch deposits and miscellaneous other deposits.
• Balance investment portfolios and maintain fixed asset records.
• Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Provide accounting support for moderately complex financial operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflows and service levels.
• Conduct detailed analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.• Proven experience in accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and their application in day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
