Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to deliver specialized instruction to young learners aged 3 to 4 years. This full-time, contract position focuses on supporting students within their homeschool settings, daycares, or Head Start centers, with an itinerant schedule involving travel between multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide developmentally appropriate, individualized instruction aligned with state and local curricula to meet diverse learner needs.
• Lead IEP meetings in compliance with the special education calendar and rigorously monitor student progress toward goals.
• Organize mobile learning environments and incorporate technology to foster active student engagement and academic growth.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and submit timely progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with parents and community partners to support each student's success and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Early Childhood Special Education or Teaching Certification is required.
• Experience working with young children with special needs in educational or community settings.
• Strong understanding of individualized education planning and progress monitoring.
• Ability to manage itinerant schedules and adapt teaching methods to diverse environments.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Location: Benton, Louisiana
Position Type: Onsite, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Duration: As soon as possible through May 19, 2026
