Title: Senior Technical Designer

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $90,000-$115,000 +

Well established fashion company is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with minimum 5 year of                      

experience with Performance Wear, and Active Wear. Knowledge of Patterns and grading is    

a plus. This opportunity offers room to grow in an environment with work life balance.

Responsibilities

• Submit detailed sketches along with tech packs including measurements and size grading.
• Collaborate with design team assisting with initial spec.
• Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.
• Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.
• Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.
• Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.
• Must be able to solve problems and identify fit problems

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent work experience

Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of Patterns, Grading and Garment construction

4 years technical design experience in including knowledge of activewear

Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel,

Walmart experience is a plus
