The Role
We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer with deep experience in Laravel to own critical parts of our backend architecture. You'll help drive technical strategy, lead backend development, and ensure our services are secure, fast, and scalable.
What You'll Do
• Architect and build backend services and APIs using Laravel.
• Design scalable database structures (MySQL/PostgreSQL), optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define API contracts and workflows.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help establish backend best practices.
• Optimize application performance and reliability with robust testing and monitoring strategies.
• Contribute to DevOps practices such as CI/CD automation and cloud deployment workflows.
What We're Looking For
• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Laravel (5+ years preferred), with a portfolio of robust Laravel-based projects.
• Deep knowledge of RESTful API design, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and backend security.
• Solid experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, or similar.
Bonus Points
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React or Next.js.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture or microservices.
