Akkodis Python Developer (Contract) – Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX (Hybrid) Akkodis is seeking a Python Developer for a contract role working with a client located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. The position focuses on hands‑on application development to support regulatory capital reporting and collaboration with cross‑functional technology teams on architecture implementation and platform migration. Rate $65.00 - $68.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors). Responsibilities Developing and maintaining applications to support regulatory capital reporting, ensuring compliance with Basel rules. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and migrate to a scalable and sustainable capital reporting platform. Writing optimized and efficient Python code for data processing, performance tuning, and system integration. Implementing data source elements and business logic for calculating risk‑weighted assets and generating Basel rules‑based capital ratios. Troubleshooting, debugging, and performing performance profiling for data‑intensive applications. Ensuring high‑quality code through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Python development, with 4+ years in big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop. Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of data‑intensive applications. Experience with SQL programming, preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata.
