Are you an experienced Security Officer? Then we have a great opportunity for you at Suburban Hospital located in Bethesda, Maryland!

Position Summary:

• Top candidates will ensure the safety and security of Suburban Hospital staff, patients and visitors through adherence to department policies, procedures and directories, effectively executing duties and responsibilities, maintaining and utilizing successful interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Responsible for driving employees to the Metro outside the hours of regular shuttle runs. Makes occasional “special runs” to other facilities to deliver and pick up urgent supplies as needed.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Experience/Requirements:

• Candidates must be 21 years of age or older in order to apply and test for the Security Police Officer License.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record/ history with no more than 2 points.
• Minimum of one year of security experience is highly preferred.
• Successful completion of basic security officer training and customer service training within the first 90 days of hire
• Previous hospital security experience a plus
• May have to work other shifts as necessary. 30-day notice prior to any shift change.

Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Night Shift

Weekend work required

Salary Range: Minimum $22.41/hour - Maximum $​​​​36.98/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
