Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Field/Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy hands-on work, and are passionate about civil engineering. The majority of your work will be outdoors at project sites, overseeing construction crews and managing various phases of complex infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contract Administration: Manage and oversee subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Change Order Management: Assist in the preparation and processing of change orders, maintaining clear communication between all parties involved.
• Job Cost Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and analyze project costs, providing detailed reports and insights to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Work Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Project Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with trades and stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Quality & Safety Oversight: Ensure all work adheres to strict quality standards and safety policies, conducting regular inspections and audits.
• Crew & Subcontractor Management: Provide leadership and support to construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring the successful execution of design plans.
• On-Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities on-site, making real-time decisions to address challenges and keep projects on track.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Accredited bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Relevant professional/internship experience in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing teams and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Goal-Oriented: Ability to set, pursue, and achieve goals, driving projects to successful completion.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to plan, prioritize, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and scheduling software. Knowledge of roadway rehabilitation, traffic signage, and construction technologies is a plus.
• Work Environment: Willingness to work predominantly outdoors in various weather conditions.
