Job Title: Powder Coat Painter & Wet Painter | Canton | $18-$25/hr | 1st shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wet and Powder Coat Painter for our 1st shift, working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with optional Fridays as needed. This role involves painting industrial equipment using spray systems and a powder coat line, with a focus on quality and precision.

Responsibilities

• Paint industrial equipment using spray systems and a powder coat line.
• Set up and clean spray guns.
• Understand and apply correct mills of paint.
• Change wet tanks and feed hoppers.
• Perform color and powder changes using different paints such as enamel and acrylic.
• Maintain the wash line.
• Prime parts before painting.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products.

Essential Skills

• Industrial painting and powder coat experience.
• Proficiency with spray systems and paint pressures.
• Knowledge of various paints, including acrylic and enamel.
• Ability to set up, operate, and clean spray guns and paint equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with color/powder changes.
• Understanding of mills of paint.
• Experience working with epoxies, acrylics, enamel, powder coats, and wet paints.
• Ability to measure paint thickness and knowledge of different spray gun brands.

Work Environment

Our facility is a newer, well-lit, and organized space that is climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable work environment. You will collaborate with mechanical assemblers and other fabricators to complete jobs efficiently. The dress code requires steel toe boots and safety glasses. Expect a standard shift from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, with occasional Fridays and potential for 5-10 hours of overtime per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
