Job Description

Legal Assistant position at The Law Offices of Daniel J. Knight, APLC. – Hawaii The ideal candidate for the position would be: Humble, intellectually curious, quick learner, detail-oriented; a reliable & independent worker who also works well under supervision. Prior experience in a law office or law related field is a bonus but not required. Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with the CLIO legal practice management platform a plus, but can be trained. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Strict confidentiality with respect to the attorney-client relationship, HIPAA regulations, and trial strategies is required. Tasks: (1) Answering phones, emails and other communications, and taking accurate notes, with high responsiveness to contacts is vital.

• 2) Sorting & prepping mail,
• 3) Ability to effectively communicate with and work with attorneys, other staff & clients,
• 4) Document preparation,
• 5) Scheduling, coordinating, and confirming court dates, appointments, depositions,
• 6) Maintaining calendars and schedules for Firm,
• 7) Scanning, copying, filing,
• 8) Miscellaneous support duties.

Compensation is based on experience, but, ranges from $20-$28.50 per hour. Firm will consider part time for the right candidate, but fully time 30-40 hours per week is preferred. After probationary period certain paid holidays and paid time off can be negotiated. #J-18808-Ljbffr DanKnightLaw
