About the Role:

Estimator - specialized in Process Piping

Location - Fountain Valley and / or Oceanside, CA

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of the estimating and bidding processes, including conducting on-screen takeoffs for various large and intricate projects.
• Participate in project bid meetings and site visits.
• Compile bid proposal documents, which may include a proposal letter, customer-specific bid forms, and necessary bid bonds.
• Review the scope of new project contracts.
• Price any change bulletins issued for ongoing projects as required.
• Collaborate with the HVAC team on combined projects and pursuits as needed.
• Assist in developing project cost budgets and a Schedule of Values for new project kick-offs.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in process and piping estimation is preferred.
• Proficient in preparing Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Plans & Specs estimates, as well as conceptual budgets.
• Knowledgeable in various estimating software and on-screen programs, with a preference for Trimble AutoBid.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience in performing process and piping take-offs across different industrial buildings, particularly Biomedical Facilities and Laboratories.
• Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills for value engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with professionals at all levels, both internally and externally.
