Minimum 3 Years experience with Diesel Engines Absolute Jobs is currently seeking a well rounded Heavy Equipment Mechanic to fill an opening with a Heavy Equipment company. The ideal candidates should have experience working with service and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and vehicles. Requirements of the Mechanic: 3 to 5 years of direct technician experience or recent tech schooling degree Have own hand tools Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams Pass a Background check / drug test / clean drivers license Benefits of working with Absolute Jobs: We help you grow and we negotiate the terms of your full time contract on your behalf Full time work Responsibilities of the Mechanic: Preventive Maintenance, diagnose, repair, recondition and adjust equipment as required to get equipment ready for customer use.-Complete all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned-Participate in all training programs directed by Service Manager Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use Communicate all estimated labor times to supervisor in a timely fashion Track and follow-up on parts for ongoing jobs Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations Diagnose, repair, refurbish and adjust equipment Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance Programming experience Diagnosing engine problems independently and troubleshooting Occasional lifting up to 50lb Benefits Include (After the probationary period): Great benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan and more #DM
