Wheeler Hardware Company is a Minneapolis based, nationwide distributor and installer of architectural and commercial grade doors, frames and door hardware.

We are currently seeking an experienced low voltage technician to fill a  Low Voltage Electric   Service Technician role as part of our service department team. This would be a full-time position with pay based on experience and education.

This position will be responsible for high quality installation and servicing of commercial frames, doors and hardware in the Twin Cities metro area. A company truck and tools are provided for all of our technicians. This position offers great opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installation of electronic commercial door hardware (e.g., locks, closers, exit devices, operators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot issues in the field and repair as needed.
• Field modify/repair frames and doors as needed.
• Fill out daily service report, per job.
• Maintain truck stock/inventory.
• Company truck and tools provided.

Qualifications:

• Installation of commercial doors and hardware.
• Low voltage experience required.
• Experience with small electric hand tools (cordless drill, jig saw, reciprocating saw, grinder, etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Highly organized with ability to multitask.
• Experience with access control systems preferred, but not required.
