Job Description

Spencer Ogden is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to support our client, a leading firm in the power and energy sector. This position can be based in Denver, Colorado or Austin, Texas and offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth in areas such as power delivery, renewable energy, and infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development within the energy industry and a strong understanding of emerging market trends in transmission, distribution, battery storage, and related services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Power Delivery projects including Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Battery Storage, Land Acquisition, and Field Services.
  • Manage pursuits in the Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) space for Power Delivery.
  • Drive Program Management Office (PMO) engagements, including asset management, data analytics, and program reporting.
  • Develop and secure technical advisory, studies, and analytical project work.
  • Cultivate and expand key client relationships, serving as a lead point of contact.
  • Guide capture planning, proposal development, and strategic pursuit efforts.
  • Participate in market strategy, business planning, scoping/costing, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain visibility and reporting of new business pipelines, strategic client planning, and sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to Go/No-Go decisions for project pursuits.
  • Identify growth opportunities aligned with ROI targets.
  • Travel as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
