Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Palo Alto, CA

Compensation

• 
  Blended Weekly Pay: $2,281.44 – $3,000.06 (DOE)
  

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Shift: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Three shifts per week, every other weekend required
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (high possibility of extension after 13 weeks)
• Department: Emergency Department
• Location: Palo Alto, California

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of care for patients requiring urgent or emergency treatment
• Assess, prioritize, and respond to patients’ medical needs promptly
• Administer medications and treatments, and safely operate medical equipment
• Participate in trauma responses and code blue situations
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications
Required:

• Active California RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• EPIC EMR experience
• Certifications:
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
