Electronics Technicians are involved in various parts of electronic equipment construction (Design, Parts procurement, building and testing).

Title: Engineering Technician Level 3

Location: Onsite | Munster Indiana 46321

Types of position: Contract

Work schedule: 100% onsite M-F working hours: first start 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm to start- then after training their working hours can be flexible between 5am-5pm (8 consecutive hours per day).

Duration: 12 Months Temp

Must Have Skills:

1. Electronics Engineering, troubleshooting down to component level.
2. cross reference electrical components for functional equivalent devices that are no longer available.
3. Troubleshooting/testing, component level diagnostics and circuit tracing
4. soldering skills (for through hole and surface mount component electronics)
5. TTL/SMT solder proficiency
6. TTL (Through-The-Hole Technology, THT)
7. SMT (Surface-Mount Technology)
8. Experience with Oscilloscopes (would be nice)
9. Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO) OR 7-9 years of experience

🔧 What You’ll Do

1. Assemble and test prototype electronics and systems (analog, digital, video, logic).
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues down to the component level.
3. Use tools like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and test software to validate performance.
4. Help build and check out custom test setups and experimental equipment.
5. Collaborate with engineers and other techs to improve designs and solve technical problems.
6. Mentor junior technicians and perform quality checks before final testing.

📚 Your Background

1. 2-year degree in Electronics Technology (required)
2. 4-year degree (preferred)
3. 7–10 years of relevant experience
