Job Summary The Depot Manager will be a key member of the operations leadership team responsible for proactively interfacing with all key functional business areas, including finance, sales, operations, and service, to effectively plan, project-manage, launch, and manage day-to-day issues of a pallet remanufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and safe operation of the depot, as well as maintaining established production and quality metrics. Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations, utilizing the principles of lean Manufacturing. Review and understand long-term volume fluctuations to match facility capacity with volume requirements. Utilizing LEAN resources, work to improve facility throughput and develop best-in-class production processes. Ensure consistent communication with other departments regarding planning and cost containment matters. Manage, oversee, and optimize the facility to maintain quality output and meet customer expectations. Ensure that all required training is being conducted promptly and recorded to meet OSHA and other regulatory agencies' requirements. Maintain a safe facility and adherence to safety protocols. Hire, train, and effectively manage both supervisory and hourly personnel, as well as effectively utilize temporary workers to meet business demand. Drive and champion employee morale as a key performance metric to minimize employee turnover and absenteeism. Communicate and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Experience / Competencies Experience in establishing key performance indicator metrics to benchmark and track performance Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) A strong track record of success in people leadership, including attracting, developing, and retaining industry-leading talent Experience with Lean process improvement a plus Qualifications Four-year degree preferred (Business with a focus on Production/Operations) Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility High level of personal and professional integrity Demonstrated ability to deliver on key initiatives and metrics Self-confidence and comfortable managing business issues and conflict by facilitating key stakeholders to agree upon the best resolution. Demonstrated ability to focus, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects under established deadlines Balance of strategic and tactical Data, process, and results-driven Strong leadership and communication skills PECO Pallet Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
