Data Analyst:

Company Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support our fast-paced distribution and operations team. This role focuses on improving inventory accuracy, optimizing workflow efficiency, and delivering data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making across supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations.

Position Summary
The Data Analyst will collect, interpret, and report operational data related to inventory movement, order fulfillment, vendor performance, and forecasting. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large data sets, and skilled at translating information into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels, stock movement, and order patterns to identify discrepancies, trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly productivity reports covering areas such as receiving volume, picking accuracy, stock rotation, inventory shrink, and outbound performance.
• Monitor vendor lead times, purchasing patterns, and replenishment data to support accurate forecasting.
• Maintain dashboards that track KPIs including fill rates, cycle count accuracy, pick/pack performance, warehouse productivity metrics, and late/short shipments.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and logistics teams to troubleshoot data issues and implement process improvements.
• Assist with ERP data management, item file maintenance, and system updates to ensure accurate product and inventory information.
• Support inventory audits and cycle counts by researching variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Clean, standardize, and validate data from multiple systems to ensure consistent and reliable reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and streamline data workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required , preferably in Data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field - or equivalent work experience in analytics or operations.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, supply chain analytics, or operations support.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Experience working with ERP systems and extracting/manipulating large data sets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
