Wiliot was founded by the team that invented one of the technologies at the heart of 5G. Their next vision was to develop an IoT sticker, a computing element that can power itself by harvesting radio frequency energy, bringing connectivity and intelligence to everyday products and packaging—things previously disconnected from the IoT. Wiliot is seeking a Corporate Marketing Director to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of progressive marketing experience with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that align with business objectives. S/he will be responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of strategy and campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. S/he will work with outside resources and cross-functionally with other teams and departments.

Please note this is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Marketing & Events: Help develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with company goals, KPIs, and drives brand recognition, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Plan and oversee corporate events, trade shows, and other marketing activities
  • Brand: Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels
  • Content & Storytelling: Build a content engine; Partner with Product Marketing to generate compelling thought leadership materials, contributed articles, etc., for a variety of channels
  • Campaigns: Collaborate with Demand Gen, Paid Media, and Sales teams to create and deliver marketing campaigns for each stage of the funnel via website, social media posts, webinars, etc.; Analyze performance to make data-driven adjustments to optimize results
  • Digital Marketing & Influencer Relations: Supercharge Wiliot’s presence across Owned and Earned channels to drive inbound interest and engagement
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve team and individual goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5 - 8 years’ progressive experience as a Marketer working in a startup, preferably a B2B platform company; tech background is required
  • Experience building narratives around technical differentiation and business value in emerging technology markets
  • Strategic thinker who can translate technical capabilities into compelling market positioning
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies for different stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and deliver against multiple projects and prioritize in an evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bias for action and discretion
  • Advanced proficiency working in PowerPoint; Possesses sharp visual organization of information

Preferred Skills:

  • Supply chain or shipping & logistics industry experience
  • Strong understanding of GEO/SEO/SEM
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or Figma

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $170,000 annually.

Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
