Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Construction Laborer / Fabrication Helper in Chicago!
The Fabricator Helper / Shipper will assist with the fabrication and assembly of aluminum doors and frames, as well as the preparation and shipment of finished products. This position requires attention to detail, a focus on safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule is a 9 hour shift Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 4pm and Friday out at 3pm. During the slow season (winter we dial it back to regular 8 hour shifts 6:30am to 3pm). Pay rate is $20.08/hour.
Essential Job Functions: -Measure aluminum extrusions to specified lengths for fabrication. -Assemble cut aluminum parts and hardware into completed doors and frames. -Verify materials against work orders and visually inspect incoming materials for quality. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Job Responsibilities: -Actively promote and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others, including enforcing safety standards for customers and contractors. -Produce high-quality products with strong attention to detail and workmanship. -Ensure all orders are completed on schedule to meet delivery deadlines. -Follow directions from supervisors and team leads to complete daily assignments.
Basic Qualifications: -High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. -Two or more years of fabrication or construction experience. -Must successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and physical examination.
