Job Description Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Founders: Ravi (CEO & CPO), Pavithra (Co-CEO)

Stage: Pre-seed (building MVP, no traction yet)

Equity: Up to 10% for the right technical co-founder (sweat + leadership)

Mission

AutoArchitect AI is rethinking how the world buildsturning a simple prompt into a construction-ready architectural design: 3D visualization, landscaping, interiors, AutoCAD files, and cost estimation. We need a CTO who can actually build this MVP, not just talk about it. This is not a manager role. This is a founder-builder role. Youll be the engineer who codes, prototypes, and scales the tech backbone that redefines architecture.

What Youll Do (Roles)

• Architect & own the end-to-end product stack: AI model pipeline, 3D rendering, backend, API integrations, and deployment.
• Build the first MVP that converts text prompts into: 3D building models; Interior + landscaping renderings; AutoCAD files; Cost estimation reports.
• Set up data pipelines (training datasets: floorplans, BIM, AutoCAD, 3D assets).
• Integrate APIs for rendering, generative AI (OpenAI, Stability, Unity/Unreal APIs), and CAD exports.
• Lead tech stack decisions (Python, Firebase, Three.js/Blender, AutoCAD APIs, AWS/GCP).
• Build & lead a world-class engineering team (ML, full stack, AR/VR).
• You are the magnet for talent. Ship fast. Fail fast. Iterate.

Responsibilities

• Build MVP alone first write the first 100,000 lines of code. No delegation. No excuses.
• End-to-end ownership: AI pipelines (generative design, 3D rendering), backend, frontend, integrations.
• APIs: Integrate with OpenAI (image, 3D), Autodesk/Revit/CAD APIs, Unity/Unreal/WebGL for visualization, cost-estimation APIs.
• Data: Source + clean architectural design datasets (floorplans, 3D models, BIM data, cost databases).
• Infrastructure: Stand up scalable backend (Firebase + FastAPI/Python), deploy on GCP/AWS.
• Security & performance: Build for speed. Latency kills adoption.
• Iterate fast: MVP in 60 days must be demo-ready for YC + VCs.
• Founder mentality: Sweat equity, zero ego, radical ownership.

Requirements (must-haves, not nice-to-haves)

• Full-stack engineer + AI/ML hands-on You ship, not just design.
• Deep knowledge of: Generative AI (LLMs, diffusion, 3D GANs/NeRFs)
• Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, WebGL/Three.js/Unity APIs: Autodesk, CAD/BIM, OpenAI, Firebase
• Proven hacker: Show me side-projects / prototypes, not degrees.
• Speed > polish: Build the car while driving it.
• Startup DNA you thrive in chaos, 80-100 hour weeks dont scare you.
• You are okay with sweat equity now, cash later.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Deep AI/ML expertise computer vision, generative AI (Stable Diffusion, NeRFs, LLMs).
• 3D graphics / gaming / AR-VR background Unity, Unreal, Blender, Three.js.
• CAD/BIM exposure AutoCAD API, Revit, Rhino, or Grasshopper.
• Full-stack chops Python, Firebase/AWS/GCP, REST/GraphQL, WebGL.
• Startup DNA Youve built products end-to-end. You thrive in chaos. Execution > theory.
• We care more about what youve built than your degrees. Bonus: Experience with architecture, civil engineering, or construction tech.

Bonus Superpowers

• Experience in architectural tech (BIM, Revit, Rhino, CAD workflows).
• Passion for design + engineering.
• Background in AR/VR or gaming engines for visualization.

Timeline

• MVP in 610 weeks (yes, non-negotiable).
• First real users & pilots by Month 34.
• Pre-Seed fundraising by Month 4.
