Job Summary:

Follow standard operating procedures to safety and efficiently handle chemicals and production equipment to manufacture chemical formulations. These products must meet the safety, quality and efficiencies standards set as expectations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture batch chemical formulations per standard operating procedures
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Package chemical formulations to maintain the safety and quality standards of the organization
  • Packing and palletizing
  • Labelling
  • Perform all duties with minimal supervision
  • Other duties or tasks may be assigned

Primary EHS responsibilities

  • Work in a manner that complies with the Company EHS Policy
  • Use the prescribed safe work practices and approved procedures
  • Work in a manner that prevents self-inflicted injury or injury to others
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace
  • Use personal protective equipment, where specified, in a proper manner
  • Report any sub-standard conditions and/or behaviors, including near miss and incident, to immediate superior
  • Properly handle and accumulate Waste including Hazardous Waste by following appropriate procedures
  • Follow the practices implemented by Management in adhering to legal and other requirements

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • Required a minimum of two years of working experience in chemical industry or similar
  • Required experience handling hazardous chemicals
  • Required a basic chemical & safety knowledge
  • Desired knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Forklift capability desired but not required

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;

Physical Working Environment:

  • Indoor/Outdoor manual job
  • Requires the use of physical strength and work in chemical environment including the handling of 55 gallon drums and 50lb bags of powders
  • Requires the ability to stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time and the ability to stoop and reach to execute job requirements
  • Requires the ability wear the required PPE for the jobs assigned
