Our Science & Space Business Unit is actively hiring a Capture Director/Sr Director . The level will be based on experience and previous contract value experience. Details are listed in the Qualifications Section below.

The Capture Director/Sr Director will serve as the capture lead within KBR’s business development organization for the Science & Space (S&S) business unit. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development for Science & Space, the role involves winning new business across the S&S portfolio, including NASA, Mission Software, Health IT, and Health and Human Performance. Responsibilities include leading large, prime, full, and open opportunities and top pursuits.

Primary work location will be Fulton, MD, with assigned customers across the US. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with some remote hours and some in the Fulton, MD office. Remote telework is also available. Approximately 20-40% travel to client locations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of assigned opportunities supporting the Science & Space Business Unit
• Management and execution of the full business development lifecycle across multiple pursuits and proposals
• Handling 2-3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages
• Developing and implementing capture strategies, plans, and team leadership to achieve winning outcomes
• Engaging in market insight activities, customer meetings, and competitive assessments
• Leading proposal efforts, reviews, and team mentoring
• Applying best practices and maintaining capture artifacts
• Briefing senior management on capture status and changes

Basic Qualifications

• Experience winning large-scale programs over $300M in the federal government
• Minimum 15 years of successful capture experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to work with senior leaders and demonstrate leadership
• Knowledge of space and engineering support acquisition organizations
• Understanding of financial outcomes, corporate rates, and opportunity development
• Proven success in business development, capture management, and related disciplines
• Leadership skills in services-centric organizations for large capture activities

Compensation

• Director Level: $186,400 - $279,600
• Sr Director Level: $226,800 - $340,100

Compensation depends on contract affordability, location, experience, and internal parity.
