They were recently assigned two (2) four-year assignments inspecting bridges throughout the state of Connecticut for Connecticut DOT as well as bridges throughout NYC and Long Island for New York State DOT. We are hiring a Bridge Design Engineer with 5 to 10 years’ design experience. The firm offers the opportunity to work on some of the most recognized and prestigious projects in the USA. Our client's Transportation Practice is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to work in their CT office This is an exciting time to join their family-oriented and stable team. Job Description Perform engineering design tasks for bridge projects from preliminary to final design Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects Mentor and assist junior-level engineers in developing final design plans Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action Participate in project by completing tasks within schedule and budget with teams comprised of different disciplines Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineering (PE) License registered in Connecticut or the ability to obtain registration (5) five to (10) ten years bridge design experience possessing a broad knowledge and experience in bridge design, strong technical skills Bridge Inspection Experience a PLUS but not required Full and in-depth familiarity with CADD This is an IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW but the hiring manager will wait for the right candidate.
