Overview Biomedical Engineer role at Insight Health Systems. Base pay range is provided; actual pay depends on skills and experience. The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. The individual should be competent with applicable test equipment and tools. The BMET may serve as technical advisor to clinical staff on safe operation and use of clinical equipment and assists in developing specifications for new equipment. The responsibilities reflect the organization\'s mission and values, and a focus on high quality care. Key duties and qualifications are listed below. Base pay range $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr Key Duties Inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate biomedical equipment and systems. Ensure regulatory compliance. Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care. Interact with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and solutions. Inform supervisors of repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns. Prepare required documentation and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrate a safety mindset. Manage financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service. Develop staff by teaching and mentoring others. Qualifications & Requirements Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military experience or two years of equivalent experience. Technical Certification (CBET) strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years\' experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.
