**Be part of the nation's only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.**
Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a **_Administrative Assistant_** and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
**Responsibilities**
The successful candidates will suppport the Mining/Underground Operations Department. They will perform routine administrative duties including, but not limited to: assisting in the development and publishing of departmental correspondence/documents, proofing and developing internal and external presentations, serving as the departmental Training Coordinator, making travel arrangments, scheduling meetings, processing expense authorizations and reimbursements, serve as the Records Coordinator for the organization, and all other duties as assigned. Responsible for coordinating the Required Reading Program. The position requires ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of management and employees. Must exercise good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in all matters.

+ Associate's degree with two (2) years of administrative experience, or
+ High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of administrative experience is required.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.

**Preferred Requirements**
+ Records experience.
+ Previous WIPP experience is a plus.

Non-exempt grade level(s) 24-26. Minimum salary $53,509 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate's relevant experience and education.
